Story: Hellbender starts as we meet the lonely teenager Izzy (Zelda Adams) living with her Mother (Poser) in a remote mountain top house away from the world, a world she can’t meet. With Izzy becoming more curious about the outside world, her mother reluctantly teaches her about the witchcraft her family has running though their blood, a dangerous path, that a wrong step will give them nothing to come back to if the wrong steps are taken.

Thoughts on Hellbender

ThoughtsHellbender is a horror mystery that will dive into witchcraft, showing us just how one family will look to stay away from the world for a reason, unless they are left to unleash the bigger problems their powers could cause. This is a low budget movie, made between a family, which will see the natural chemistry created in the film, but when it comes to the deeper story, it doesn’t unleash enough to make the shock it wants too, leaving everything feeling flatter than it could have been, leaving us wanting even more. This is a film that will not give you enough of what it could have, it will do fine on the chemistry, but not enough shock, like it promises.

Final Thoughts Hellbender is a flat horror, not shocking us.
