Vegas Rock Revolution's Planet Desert Rock Weekend has revealed the full lineup for its fifth edition, with twenty international heavy rock, psych and doom acts to take the Las Vegas stages over the January 30th-February 2nd, 2025 weekend!
Curated by Vegas Rock Revolution founder John Gist, Planet Desert Rock Weekend has become a major event for all heavy rock fans nationwide and beyond. More than just a festival, it's an experience: Planet Desert Rock is designed to be an intimate weekend where festival-goers can hang out with likeminded rockers and the musicians that create amazing music - it's a party atmosphere with top-notch sound provided by one of the best rock venues in the country, Count's Vamp'd. All shows are taking place at night to allow Planet Desert Rockers to fully enjoy the unique city of Las Vegas, its museums, casinos and hiking spots.
Planet Desert Rock V will be unleashing a strong blend of 8 international bands from eight countries to go with legacy bands like Fireball Ministry, Unida, Mos Generator, Solace, Valley of the Sun and Paw frontman Mark Hennessey's recent band Godzillionaire. This year, Planet Desert Rock Weekend also brings in Californian label Ripple Music to curate an entire night by presenting some of their roster's finest live acts!
Says promoter and curator John Gist: "We are super proud of our lineup for the 5th edition of Planet Desert Rock Weekend! For the 2025 version, we really wanted to highlight amazing heavy rock acts from around the world. The idea of 'rock being dead' is laughable once you take a listen to these specially curated bands from as far away as Slovenia, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Spain, England, Belgium, and as close by as French Canada's Sons Of Arrakis, who as a young band had over 1.8 million Spotify listeners in 2024. We are honored to have four international bands playing exclusive USA shows - including Sergeant Thunderhoof, whose new album just landed #1 on the November Doom Charts! As always, we want to meld legacy bands as part of the fabric of what we are trying to achieve vision-wise with bands like Fireball Ministry playing their first show since 2019, Unida, Mos Generator, Solace and Valley of the Sun. We have continued our efforts solely because of the people... Folks that tell us to keep doing it as we have created a unique and special weekender. We are so thankful for all the support from around the world!" Check out Planet Desert Rock V's official and playlists!
