Hearty, Healthy Recipes & Staying "Cute" While Getting Fit

By Wifessionals @wifessionals
I'm halfway through February, which is halfway through the first month of #ImGettingFit2014. I started off the month doing a cleanse and trying to eat extremely clean. After the first 10 days, I focused on cooking healthy meals that would still satisfy my desire for comfort foods! For any of you who are trying to cut back on calories, but don't want to sacrifice taste, here are a few of our favorites!

Turkey Hummus Burgers: We love these and the fact you can make them indoors. With all the snow, grilling outside is impractical and near impossible! The low calorie english muffin is a great substation for a regular hamburger bun!

Cashew Chicken: This is a clean recipe. I make it with or without the cashews and it's delicious both ways. The spice mixture is so good! The chicken always comes out very tender as well.

Trickster Turkey Chili: Hands down one of the most made recipes in our house. Extremely easy because it uses a crockpot (although I ave made it on the stove too!). Very healthy, hearty and great for cold winter days.

Skinny Chicken Enchiladas: These are such a healthy substitute for the smothered chicken enchiladas I used to eat. These are a great way to satisfy a mexican food craving!

Mini Healthy Meatloaves: I love these! This is one of the first recipes I ever made for the blog. No one can ever tell they aren't made with ground beef and they cook so quickly since they are "mini"!
Along with eating healthy, I have really kicked it into high gear when it comes to working out. I haven't done anything since around the time I got pregnant. I had a lot of issues at the beginning of my pregnancy, so I had to take it easy and the most I could do for 9 months was power walk. My butt has been completely kicked by the bootcamp I have been doing with Ryan. I felt so out of shape when we started, but seeing my progression over the past two weeks has motivated me to keep pushing forward!

I am the first person to admit that I do not usually feel "cute" when working out. I'm not one of those girls that wears makeup or just a sports bra to the gym. But I do think that when you feel good about yourself, it motivates you! I was extremely happy to find Albion and I love the message behind their brand. They want to make women feel great while working out and they strive to create flattering and luxurious fitness gear.
I absolutely love their "Go Long Leggings". They come in a bunch of different colors and are cute enough to wear out on errands or around town, as well fantastic workout pants. I am tall (5'9") so I was worried about them being more like capris on me, but Albion assured me they stretch as you put them on. They did and I love the length!

I have them in Heather Violet and they are so comfortable and, indeed, flattering. Albion is wonderful and they want to give one of you the chance to wear some of their awesome fitness gear!
