The graceful lines of this 1930’s biplane fighter are evident from this angle. Hawker Hawks are extremely rare and this one in the MAM collection is the only airworthy example in the world. Technically a replica, it was completed in 1982 with both original and fabricated parts, including a rare original Kestrel engine. Rebuilt in 2000 after a minor crash in 1996, it was acquired by Jerry Yagen for the museum in 2009. Nikon D7000 w/18-200 mm, processed with Aperture.
