It all started when Japanese Twitter user Miomio3030 posted an image of a white Pomeranian with lashes and has garnered over 10,000 tweets. For those considering outfitting their pooch with a new set of lashes, be weary. According to the blog Kotaku, “This is very much a niche thing, so don’t think all pet owners in Japan are doing this! Hopefully, these pet owners made sure their four legged friends didn’t accidentally eat the lashes or poke themselves in the eye with them.” The recent phenomenon has also spread to cats.
