Harry Connick Jr. Scared To Lose Wife After Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Harry Connick Jr. thought he was going to lose his wife Jill Goodacre after she was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer.

“She’s my best friend, and I really don’t know what I would do without her,” the actor, and talk show host told PEOPLE.

“I was scared I was going to lose her, absolutely,” says Connick Jr. “I wasn’t going to let her see that, but I was.

Jill struggled with low self esteem, due to weight gain from the medications.

“It’s a part of how the cancer and the treatment impacted her, and it was a real issue, even though she will always be the most beautiful woman in the world,” Connick Jr. said.
