Verdict on Harder Than the Rock
Harder Than the Rock is a documentary following the first reggae band in the UK, Cimarons. It follows their early days and how they rose up in fame in the music industry and brushed shoulders with the legends of the era. However, it also shows the troubles they face and what they had to overcome during a difficult time in the UK.
The movie focuses on their ability to overcome racial prejudice and put their focus on their music. It is an interesting looks at a band who brought their own style and flair to the industry. This also points out that they put more into their love of the music than the race to be famous. It is an important documentary, as we know all music did something different to the industry.
