The Organized Crimes Prevention Unit of the Police Special Task Force (STF) on a tip-off arrested the main gunmen used by underworld Kingpin ‘Harak Kata’ at Boralesgamuwa on Sunday.
Nadun Chinthaka Wickremeratne alias Harak Kata was arrested by Police in Dubai on Saturday (13).
The STF have attested the gunman at a boarding house in Boralesgamuwa along with 17 gramms of Heroin and four live T56 ammos in his possession. He is a 28-year-old resident of Midigama, Weligama.
According to Police, the suspect was wanted in connection with the double murder committed in a fish outlet in beach road, Weligama in May this year and several other crimes including raping women and committing robberies. The STF has handed over the suspect to the Divisional Crimes Investigation Unit of Matara for further investigations.
