Whatever you’re doing, Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Hanukkah! Or Thanksgivukkah - because for some strange reason, Americans have this obsession with combining two words to make one ridiculous new one, which always catches on absolutely everywhere. It trends, it becomes a hashtag, and eventually just becomes a real word. We're a weird group of people.
These two holidays could easily bethought ofas the most food-centric days of the year. Between Thanksgiving and Hanukkah, you could write a book full of all the traditional recipes that comefrom them. From latkes to sweet potato pie, there will certainly be no shortage of food this week. I thought it’d be fun to round up the top 5 recipes I’ve found that scream“Thanksgivukkah.”
Brussels SproutsLatkes The Girl in the Little Red Kitchen
Pumpkin Challah
That Skinny Chick Can Bake
Pomegranate Brisket with Cranberry Succotash
What Jew Wanna Eat
Whatever your plans are for today, I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving and (if applicable) a Happy Hanukkah! Enjoy your day full of good food and lots of time spent with family and friends.
