Lost Map Records’ signings Happy Spendy have shared the video for ‘Feelings 2’ ahead of the release of new EP ‘Ready When You Are’ on 28 February. The release follows support slots with The Spook School, Self Esteem and Lomelda and high praise from the likes of Goldflakepaint

Writtenfollowing the death of Eimear Coyle‘s father, the happy-sad song is a fitting tributeto her best pal and how she may have ‘found happiness in so many places but the grief never leaves‘. She opens the song by reassuring you that ‘I’m fine, it’s just something that’s always on my mind’ before revealing more of her inner thoughts: ‘It was all a bit of a rush, saying goodbye is no fun. It was all a bit too much for all of us’; ‘It’s just been one of days, weeks or years for two years now’.

With sparkling synths, handclaps, glitchy synth-pop vibes and heartfelt cries of ‘I’ll remember you’, this slotssomewhere in the space between Casiotone for the Painfully Alone and Prides.
