Romola Garai- 31

She’s part of the ensemble of BBC’s terrific drama The Hour. She also has a small part in Atonement.

Melissa George- 37

She caught my eye originally on Alias. Honestly, when was the last time you watched Alias?

Vera Farmiga- 40

She’s got a lot of great films in her resume. Up In The Air, The Departed, and The Boy In The Striped Pajamas. She’s also Emmy nominated for her role in Bates Motel.

Jason O’Mara- 41

He has tried really hard to have a successful TV show. Terra Nova, Life On Mars, Vegas, Men In Trees, In Justice, etc. He’s tried really hard over the years, and none of his shows survive the first season. He’s in the upcoming In A World, which opens next weekend.

M. Night Shyamalan- 43

Obviously, everyone knows the twist in The Sixth Sense by now, but it is still his best work. Or at least, it’s worth a repeat viewing to see if it holds up.

Michelle Yeoh- 51

For American audiences, she’s probably best known from being a Bond girl in Tomorrow Never Dies, or Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. She’s done other American films though, like Sunshine. Sadly, it was left for dead in theatrical release, so most people haven’t seen it. You can change that. It is directed by Danny Boyle, you know.

Lucille Ball (RIP)

Today would have been Lucy’s 102nd birthday. She has left a mark on the entertainment world that today’s actresses can only hope to leave, 24 years after her death. I would say only Marilyn Monroe has left more of a mark. Why not watch a classic episode of I Love Lucy today?
