Hanger Lane W5
Location: The Borough of Ealing
Hanger Lane is derived from the old English word Hangra meaning “wooded slope”. The wooded slope is long gone, replaced with the Hanger Lane Gyratory System, a notorious road junction beloved of travel news reporters who often say its name in conjunction with the words “busy” “pandemonium” and “gridlock”. Suffice to say, we seldom lead walks at the Hanger Lane Gyratory System!
