When I see nude tights I think old school pantyhose.
Even saying the word pantyhose sounds old and I think of wrinkled ankles and itchy legs. Ewwww! Are they even called that anymore? I don't know, but I'll stick with calling them tights or legwear.
Times have changed and so has the look and feel of legwear. When I worked in a London PR agency, our office atmosphere was very casual, we wore jeans and no legwear was required when wearing a dress or skirt — I mean, all of the cool kids went without them. During the winter months I wore the thicker tights, mostly colored and patterned ones. But come spring and summer, I went bare legged!
A few weeks ago I saw a friend wearing a pair of nude tights and I did a double take — I hadn't seen that in years!
Then Hanes sent a selection of their legwear for me to try out. I was a bit skeptical because I remember them always rolling down, but these being CONTROL TOP went right up well above my hips (I wear them up to about my ribs) and stayed put. I am ALL about shaping and keeping all bits and bobs neatly in their places to minimize the jiggle.
No muffins tops allowed!
Perfect for day and night. And look, my legs look smooth and tan! SCORE!

I was a bit scared of the nude tights and to wear them during the day, but looky looky, they don't scream old lady at all. In fact, my legs look smooth, thinner and tan! How can I go wrong with that? Although Little M asked what had happened to the skin on my legs — he was a bit confused!
And if that wasn't great enough, they are totally affordable — their range is all under $6. So, SO nice. Now I can safely say I have been converted to wearing them again.
But the question remains, are they still called pantyhose?!
