H&M has hired a diversity manager after receiving backlash for an ad with a Black boy modeling a hoodie with the words “Coolest Monkey in The Jungle” written across the front.

H&M  took heat from Black celebrities like Diddy, LeBron James, and QuestLove, also Black Twitter, who threatened to boycott the retail company.

The racially insensitive ad left the company scrambling, especially when celebrities like, The Weeknd who had a partnership with the brand, publicly ended his relationship with the company.

Even though the fashion retailer quickly took the ad down, and issued an apology, it was too late the damage had already been done.

The Swedish retailer announced earlier this week that global manager for employee relations Annie Wu will be its new “global leader for diversity and inclusiveness.”

For those of you who missed it, Diddy cleared up rumors that he gave the little boy $1 million while on The Breakfast Club Thursday.

“That wasn’t real. It ain’t that much modeling in the world. It didn’t happen,” Diddy said on the show.
