Halloween Character Balls

By Vixenmade @vixenMade
Has anyone else started decorating their homes for Halloween?
Now that it's October, I decided to pull out my decorations and gradually add things around the home.
And since my kids love Halloween and decorating the house, I thought I'd create a cute decor item for their room, too.
Not only were they easy, they were pretty fun to create.  And the kiddos loved them!
Here's what you need:
Styrofoam craft balls
Scrap fabric in orange, green, white and black
Scrap pieces of felt
Glue gun
Scissors and/or rotary cutter

First, cut strip of your fabric, I went with about 1/2 to 1 inch thick strips.

If your fabric tears well, like a cotton broadcloth, tearing your strips is much faster.

Start hot gluing your strips around the balls specific to color.  Continue until all of the styrofoam is covered.

For the mommy ball, I cut out two white circles of felt, then two smaller circles of black felt.

Glue the black onto the white and glue the eyes onto your mommy.

For the pumpkin, I created triangle eyes and a jagged smile out of black felt.

And Frankie got eyes, a smile and a few scars.  Though if were to do it over again, I think a patch of hair on top and a unibrow was definitely needed.  Ah well!

Then I added two circles on the bottom to create his bolts.

And lastly, the black cat got half circle white pieces with black oval pieces for cat eyes and then a pink nose.

Done and done!

Kinda cute, I think.

And it makes their rooms a little more festive, too!

Have a terrific day!!
