The snout of an Intruder is quite distinctive, both in size and ornamentation with the fixed probe for probe-&-drogue refueling .  The side by side seating in the cockpit, plus the need to house two radar systems, necessitated a wider fuselage and nose.  78 A-6As and 12 A-6Es were reworked for use as KA-6D tanker aircraft, with a retractable hose/drogue system, providing the ability to keep up with strike packages and refuel them in the course of a mission.  This all-weather medium attack aircraft was in service with the United States Navy and Marine Corps from 1963-1997.  Fuji X-E2s w/18-55mm.
