The highlights of National Gardening Week from the 15th-21st April will be sowing wildflowers to keep Britain beautiful and promoting horticultural careers. The RHS and Mr Fothergill’s will be giving away 10,000 packets of wildflower seeds for people to sow mini wildflower meadows in raised beds and gardens. The first 10,000 people to register online (click here) from 15 March will be sent a packet of seeds. Wildflower mini-meadow workshops will take place over the weekend of 20th -21st April at the four RHS Gardens: Wisley in Surrey, Hyde Hall in Essex, Rosemoor in Devon and Harlow Carr in North Yorkshire. The RHS will also promote its Perfect for Pollinators plant lists. There will also be advice and ideas online to help people sow and grow wildflowers and other plants to help pollinating insects source pollen and nectar.
