There has been a bite in the air the last two days, and winter’s cousin taunts us with chilly fingers. Before I leave my apartment in the morning, I bundle up in my Icelandic sweater and my Mongolian yak’s wool scarf. The memories of these places keep me just as warm as the garments themselves. As the color will soon begin to fade from the scenery around us after a burst of yellow, red and brown death, let us cling for a while, to the warmth of summer’s green… and to gentle memories of Nepal.
