It's official: there will be a Green Lantern series! Almost a year after the announcement of the project, the show has officially been commissioned by the HBO platform. Composed of 10 episodes, this series will be produced by Greg Berlanti, the man behind the "Arrowerse", who also has the particularity of having signed the screenplay ... of the film Green Lantern, released in theaters in 2011 with Ryan Reynolds in the main role and whose reception by critics and the public had proved to be chilly to say the least.
Green Lantern: is the character's future on TV?
The Green Lantern series will be written by Marc Guggenheim (creator of Arrow, also screenwriter of the film Green Lantern) and Seth Grahame-Smith (Lego Batman, The Movie), the latter also serving as showrunner. She will tell the adventures of several incarnations of Green Lantern: Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz, Alan Scott, Kilowog and the future bad-guy Sinestro. Note that in this show, which will introduce all new heroes, the characters of John Stewart and Hal Jordan (played on the big screen by Ryan Reynolds) should therefore not appear.
