Apple and Lime - Don't they look so pretty!
Juicing has become an everyday occurrence with my family recently, they are so quick and easy to make and the health benefits that come from drinking them are so great. It all kicked off because my youngest sister hates eating fruit but we had to find a way of getting her to eat them. We already had a juicer (Phillips HR1861 Whole Fruit Juicer) so it seemed like a great idea of easing her into the idea.
To make these juices, all that you have to do is literally put the fruit down the chute - you don't even have to cut them! They are so quick and simple to make and cleaning up is minimal as all the components can go in the dishwasher. They work with a blade that squishes out all the juice from the fruit, leaving the pulp behind. Literally any fruit can be used too! We have recently been making apple and lime (as shown above) - refreshing and juicy but other combinations could include raspberries, strawberries, mango, pineapple, berries, and even vegetables like spinach and cucumber. You name it, the choice is yours!
They don't just taste nice either, drinking a fresh juice everyday can provide your body with energy, and provide nutrients that strengthen hair and nails and boost the immune system. You get so much more out of them than drinking from a carton. Overall, I would really recommended them to people who don't really like fruits and vegetables but want to get them into their diet, or anyone looking for a really healthy snack or drink with a meal and they would look so cute served in jars with straws at a party.
What do you think, will you be hopping on the juicing trend?
Any recommended combinations?
