Guess which twenty-something year old is going to a sleepover? Yes... this girl!
The best part is, I'm taking you with me (sort of) but read on if you're local to the North East and fancy actually coming along.
As part of the Great North Nights programme of events, the Great North Museum: Hancock has announced it will host an adults only sleepover on March 4th. With live music, a buffet and a chance to sleep next to a T-Rex, what more could you want from your Saturday night?!
I'm very excited to tell you, I'll be attending alongside Sarah so make sure you're following us for behind the scenes antics on the night and all the photos to follow. I'm really looking forward to our sleepover and, for me, the chance to do something completely different like this, through blogging and this little space on the internet, is just amazing.
It's a rare opportunity to see what goes on behind closed doors at the Great North Museum, with after hours access to new exhibition Bones: Skeleton Secrets of the Animal World as well as a chance to see the iconic Egyptian mummies and my favourite, T-Rex among everything else the museum has to offer.
If you want to join us, there are limited amounts of tickets left; priced at £75 for adults, £70 concessions (plus booking fee) available from the website. The cost covers a welcome drink, all your food on the evening - including breakfast on Sunday morning, entertainment and activities.
It sounds like it's going to be great fun. Just please don't pitch up beside me if you're gonna snore! Ha! Museum photos supplied by Hancock. All other photos and words are my own.
