Great Grandpa have shared ‘Junior’ ahead of the release of new album ‘Patience, Moonbeam’ on 28 March via Run For Cover Records.

The new album will be the five-piece’s first album since the stunning ‘Four of Arrows’ in 2019 and follows a period of personal and professional upheaval for all the band members.

‘Junior’ is told through the eyes of a character who brags about his recklessness, noting how he pulls off ‘light crimes with my buddies all night’.

Opening with the words ‘I know what you’re thinking, right on time’, ‘Junior’ has the same kind of personal punch that serves Big Thief so well before moving into more of a Laurel Canyon country sound, complete with banjo and a dash of romance in the lyrics: ‘We went working on your daddy’s mile,
I saw you twirling, it drove me wild’.
