Verdict on Grave Torture

Grave Torture is a horror thriller following two siblings who team up to investigate what happened in their parent’s death. However, the deeper they dive, the more disturbing the consequences around them become.

This movie dives into Joko Anwar’s speciality in horror. He manages to bring a connection between religion and extreme horror, using the idea of supernatural moments to justify the occult existence. This one has a more focused approach in an attempt to understand the connection between an incident and a recording. It has the expected shock moments, which are effective and give us the shock we need and use the effects team well. The body horror moments feel extreme, with one certain death being surprising.
