Ballaketuwa Police yesterday said that the grandson who was in hiding following the murders of his grandparents was arrested on Thursday afternoon in the Madugastalawa Reserve. The 22-year-old suspect is an Army deserter who was addicted to drugs.
His mother resides in Randeniya, Wellawaya and his father is dead.”He grew up under the care of his grandparents who have been residing at Ballaketuwa on the Navalagama Road for many years,” Police said.
