Grammy Nominations Are In: Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar, Lead The Pack

The 60th Annual Grammy Awards will be all about  Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar!

The nominations were announced this morning and Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar lead the pack.

Jay-Z’s 13th studio album, “4:44,” lead the nominees with eight.  Kendrick Lamar’s “DAMN.” album scored seven; Bruno Mars with six; and Childish Gambino (aka actor Donald Glover), newcomers SZA and Khalid, and producer No I.D. (who worked on “4:44”) with five each.

Jay-Z will also be recognized for his impact on the music industry at the 2018 Pre-GRAMMY Gala, where he’ll receive the 2018 GRAMMY Salute to Industry Icons award. The event is set to take place at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel on Jan. 27, the night before the 60th annual Grammy Awards.

The Grammy Awards will be broadcast live from New York’s Madison Square Garden on CBS Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018.
