GraceLife Thoughts – One Message
The Bible is ‘one message.’ It is about Jesus Christ accomplishing His Father’s purpose – “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8
How would Jesus “destroy the works of the devil”? Through His death and resurrection which God “foreordained before the foundation of the world” and “promised before time began.”
God ‘raised’ Jesus from the dead and gave Him ‘glory.’ God has ‘saved’ and ‘called’ us with a holy calling, not according to ‘our works,’ but according to His own ‘purpose’ and ‘grace’ which He gave to us in Christ Jesus ‘before time began.’ That was God’s eternal plan which has now been revealed to us by the ‘appearing’ of our Savior Jesus Christ, who ‘abolished death’ and ‘brought life and immortality to light’ through the Gospel.
Jesus abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through His death and resurrection, which is the Gospel.
