GQ Magazine Names Obama as One of “least Influential” People of 2014

First, chairman of Stratfor George Friedman calls Obama’s a failed presidency. (Stratfor describes itself “a leader in the field of global intelligence”.) Friedman writes:

We have now entered the final phase of Barack Obama’s presidency, and like those of several other presidents since World War II, it is ending in what we call a state of failure.

Now GQ magazine calls Obama one of the “least influential” people of 2014 – a list that includes such inconsequential luminaries as actor Shia LaBeouf and the Brazilian soccer team.

Ouch.

At the end of the year, GQ publishes its list of “least influential” people of that year, defined as “people who took up vast clouds of oxygen, gave us back nothing of use, and probably helped accelerate the death of our planet.”

This is Obama’s second year in a row on this list.

Although the magazine insists their list of Least Influential People of 2014 is “in no particular order,” nevertheless Barack Obama is number two, after number one’s Bono and U2. Here’s what GQ‘s Drew Magary says about Obama:

Why are you still on Martha’s Vineyard?! Missouri is BURNING. Putin is conquering Europe. The CDC is playing nude Twister with Ebola patients. U2 is forcing bad songs on everyone. The NSA won’t stop watching me masturbate. I need you ON THIS. Are you even president anymore? When Obama got blasted for golfing shortly after ISIS beheaded journalist James Foley, he said, “I should’ve anticipated the optics.” How do you win the presidency without knowing that golfing makes you look rich and indifferent?

Here’s GQ’s unranked list of the 30 least influential people of 2014:
