We are thrilled to share today the beautiful wedding of Harmony Walton, founder of the Bridal Bar! Having years of experience in wedding marketing, consulting and brand representation in the luxury wedding industry, the lovely bride could not but have a splendid wedding with mesmerizing details! The couple tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in beautiful Hawaii and then celebrate with friends and family in a relaxed and welcoming environment. For the wedding decoration, we adored every detail! The couple chose a chic romantic style in pale purple, silver, rose gold and ivory hues. The ceremony and reception area were adorned with lush floral arrangements and garlands creating the perfect setting! The bride was looking gorgeous in her customized colored wedding gown by talented designer Hayley Paige with a tulle ball gown skirt and long sleeves! Just stunning! Prepare to fall in love with every single detail of this lush romantic wedding planned and designed beautifully by Marcy Blum!
The bride shared with us: "We met on Tinder! We both swiped right and the rest was history. Bayo proposed several years later on a trip to Cartagena, Colombia. I was giving a talk at a wedding industry event and we decided to stay a few extra days. We stayed at the beautiful Casa San Agustin Hotel in the old city and Bayo made a dinner reservation at their famous restaurant, Alma, for our last night. When the dessert course came, the band in the restaurant started playing "Hotel California" by the Eagles (a song we love). At the same time, our waiter brought over a silver tray with a love letter to me on it. I opened the letter and Bayo got down on one knee in front of the entire restaurant. I said yes and a dear friend of mine who had been on the trip with us jumped out of hiding (she had helped him plan the entire night). A photographer also emerged that had been capturing the entire event in secret. After dinner we went out dancing with our friends who helped make it all happen. It was a perfect night!"
"The ceremony took place in Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea in Maui, Hawaii. We selected the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea for a number of reasons, the most obvious being its beauty! We spent our second dating anniversary there years before and we feel in love with the resort then. We knew we wanted a destination wedding but our families didn't want to travel too far from Southern California, so Hawaii was the perfect domestic, non-stop flight location. The resort has an incredible food and beverage program, an intimate ceremony site that was perfect for our guest size and the service is unbeatable. As frequent travellers, it was important that we show our guests a great time from start to finish and we knew that Four Seasons Maui would do just that. We also wanted a place where everyone could be together, hang out by the pool and enjoy a tropical vacation as a group before and after the wedding. Four Seasons Maui checked all the boxes!"
"I have been in the wedding industry for fifteen years so I feel like I have seen it all. And not unlike most couples, we wanted our wedding to be different. We selected mauve, silver, rose gold and ivory as our colors for something that would complement the setting but not feel overly tropical or overdone. We decided to put most of the Hawaiian and tropical details into our welcome party and give our wedding more of a formal and romantic tone. The style was soft and delicate, and the furniture was very residential and welcoming in feeling. Steven Boyle Design created a garden-like environment with lush florals and garlands, different styles of tables and a lounge area that felt like home. We wanted the night to be inviting and relaxing and it certainly was!"
"My bouquet was gorgeous and lush! Wrapped in strands of raw silk dangling down, the flowers that Steven Boyle Design used were a mix of café au lait and white roses, peonies, ranunculus, lizianthus, spray roses, freesia, waxflower and greenery. He created a loose garden look with long ribbon tails that I just loved!" "We really took inspiration from our lives more than anything. It was important that we didn't copy any other wedding but found personal details to put into the day".
"My wedding dress was a customized design by Hayley Paige. The dress was one of my favorite parts of the wedding. I want to wear it again and again! The dress is called the Lumi gown but I had it customized to suit me with a custom neckline and back and a unique bustle that made it a true princess gown! The dress is also colored, which I love. I didn't want to be like every other bride in white. The tulle ball gown skirt had layers of color to it so at times it looked silver, grey, blue or taupe. It also had a v-neck bodice, dream catcher sleeves and a keyhole back. The star beading on the gown is so delicate and dreamy and really made it sparkle. Hayley then created a custom veil for me to match the beading. She also designed a custom corset to go under the dress that was embellished with that same beading so that when the bra peaked through the gown, it looked like it was part of the dress. It's the most beautiful dress I have ever seen!"
"My favorite moment of the day was my first dance with my husband. We were married, all the pressure was off, and it was a quiet moment just for us two to take it all in and slow down. Even though everyone was watching, it felt like we were the only two people in the world. We also both loved our ceremony so much. Our dear friend, who is also a wedding planner, Ali Phillips, officiated the wedding. She wove in so much of our lives, our personalities and our love that it was very special to us. We couldn't believe how perfect it turned out (and most of it was a surprise to us).
"My advice to other couples is to hire a wedding planner. Guests kept telling me how chill I seemed and how I wasn't stressed at all and that really helped to set the relaxed mood for everyone else there. The only reason I was able to be stress-free on the wedding day was because of our wedding planners, Marcy Blum Associates. I knew everything was getting done on time and as planned behind-the-scenes because of them and the hotel staff. With that confidence, trust and knowledge, I was able to let go and have fun and really live in the moment. Hiring a wedding planner is more than a logistical must, it allows you to be truly present on your wedding day and that is worth everything!"
