Today's couple had the wedding of their dreams at a beautiful Villa in Italy, one of the most romantic places to tie the knot! The gorgeous decoration with elegant flower arrangements and a blush, gold and greenery palette created a magical setting for the couple and its guests! "The day was filled with love and laughter and happy tears. We sipped prosecco on the Terrace of Infinity and took in the breathtaking views, arm and arm, husband and wife. When the sun went down, the full moon came up and we dined and danced the night away in Villa Cimbrone's Crypt room. Candles on every table and simple, yet elegant floral centrepieces in rustic gold vases. It was an absolute dream!", the bride shared! "Nik and I met through our mutual friends, Zach and Lindsay. Nik owns a wine bar on the Upper East Side of Manhattan where Zach was a regular. He would always say, "You've gotta meet my friend Nik." He kept trying to get us together, but every time we were supposed to hang out something came up. Finally on May 24th, 2013 I get a phone call from Lindsay. I was actually out to dinner on a date with another guy and ignored her calls, but she kept calling me and sent a text that said: "Urgent, you need to call me back." So I excused myself from the table and called her back. She says,"You need to leave your date now. Nik is here and me, you, Zach and him are going out." And I left my date. I made up some excuse as to why I need to leave, took a taxi to Zach & Lindsay's apartment, walk in and there is Nik. This tall, handsome man with a huge smile on his face. The 4 of us went to a bar and ever since that night Nik and I were inseparable".
"Nik proposed to me on top of a mountain in Santorini, Greece. He is an outdoorsy guy. He loves to hike, bike and kayak. I'm more of a sit by the fire with a glass of wine kind of gal, but on May 1st, I got ready to leave our hotel and Nik says, "We're going on a hike." After complaining the whole way up the mountain, I realized, wow this view is just gorgeous! He told me he was going to take a photo of me, but when I turned around, he was on bended knee, holding the most gorgeous diamond ring and asked me to marry him. The four of us are still best friends and on September 6th, Zach was Nik's Best Man and Lindsay was one of my Maid of Honors".
"We knew we were going to have a destination wedding. Nik is from Europe, so all of his family are still there and I had been to a wedding at the stunning Villa Cimbrone when I was about 16 years old. It was my mom's friend's wedding, and I thought, I would love to get married here some day, and my dream came true! Nik and I agreed to get married in Ravello, a small pedestrian town on the Amalfi Coast at the breathtaking Villa Cimbrone. We were told that early September would be the best month for a wedding in Italy as it wouldn't be too hot, so we chose September 6th, right after Labor Day. I still considered it a summer wedding, so I thought blush, gold and greenery would be the perfect color pallet."
"I had a large bridal party and didn't want everyone to look the same, so I had my bridesmaids wear different styles of the Vera Wang collection, but stuck to the blush color pallet and to differentiate them from the other girls, I had my Maid of Honors wear blush sequin dresses. All of the different styles and textures looked amazing together."
"Nik and I love to travel. We got engaged in Greece, we frequently go to Europe and Mexico for vacations. We're always looking for our next adventure so it made total sense when we chose the Amalfi Coast as our wedding destination. We would describe ourselves as classic chic so the combination of our fresh style with Italian charm really felt like us. I will never forget the look on Nik's face as I walked down the aisle of the incredibly stunning cathedral. Happy tears in his eyes and a huge smile on his face. It was like a movie. Unreal. A moment I will never forget".
"We wanted it to be a formal affair with a simple, chic twist. Nik opted for a tux with an off-white dinner jacket, a velvet bow-tie and velvet loafers with no socks. He had his guys in classic black tuxedos and everyone looked absolutely stunning. I knew I was going to wear a Pronovias dress before I was even engaged. I actually picked one out and then found out that 3 other girls I knew were wearing the same one! So I ended up changing to a different Pronovias style, their Natura gown, and I am so happy I did! The lace detail on the dress, paired with the long veil which was actually custom made from a cape to a veil, looked so regal in the beautiful church".
"Everyone told me, enjoy every moment because the day goes by so fast and it was the truest piece of advice I received. I want every bride to know, in the blink of an eye the best day of your life will be over so take in every single moment. Breathe in every ounce of love and happiness. And have fun!"
