Google Maps is Back on iOS

After being removed from the iOS 6, Google Maps has finally returned on iOS. As expected, Google Maps has all the features it had before but this time with a much richer and vector based UI. This means less loading times, and lesser bandwidth.

Google Maps App include turn-by-turn navigation, public transit directions, integrated Street View in the new location cards and a Google Earth view which takes you to their Google Earth App on that precise location.

Now that Google Maps is here, which made it Top Free Apps list within 7 hours, we aren’t sure how long the Nokia Here glory would last. For a common user, they have 3 different Maps app to use. The regular default Apple Maps ( which is still improving and might take few months to provide the exact map data ), the Nokia here app ( which created a buzz when released but seems like everyone forget ) and now Google Maps App ( which is known for its location based data it gathered, and kept updating for years)

Either way, its a win-win situation for end user. We get to use whichever app we want or whichever app we are comfortable with.
