GomBurZa is a drama following three priests who risked everything to maintain their faith. It follows their battle to keep their religion alive in a time when they were chased down like criminals. This leads to the showing of the movement that caused tension between religions in a changing world.

The movie gives us a glimpse into Filippino’s history as they battled to keep their religious beliefs during a time of change. It shows the priests who risked everything to maintain the country’s belief and what it did to them. Even if this ends up being a routine biopic, it still manages to get the strong messages across about what they went through. It all goes back to how countries invaded others and tried to change their religious beliefs, causing bigger problems in the process.
