Goin' On A Break

A quick roundup
Corruption (1968) - Psychotronic protoslasher with Peter Cushing in his goriest flick. With a bizarre cast including Kate O'Mara, Shirley Stelfox, Tony "Blair's Dad in Law" Booth, Billy "Don Beech off the Bill" Murray and David Lodge as a 50-odd retarded down and out teen gang member who chews apples, wears pebble glasses and John Lennon cast-offs. Glorious silly Eyes Without A Face ripoff. Sue Lloyd is glorious. Pity she dyed her hair blonde and thus looked awful.
Some May Live (1968) - Cushing, Joseph Cotten and Martha Hyer appear in the first British-made Vietnam War thriller among an elite selection, Full Metal Jacket and How Sleep the Brave. Boring, stodgy and overwrought with stock footage.
Psycho Sisters (1974) - Boring, silly proto-slasher directed by Universal auteur Reginald Leborg. Forgettable
House of the Living Dead (1973) - ITV action director Ray Austin sends Mark Burns and Shirley Anne Field to South Africa in a boring chiller reminiscent of the Creeping Flesh.
Now, I am shutting this blog down for a while. It may come back. But I'm trying to pursue a writing career. And I'm trying to spare things out.
