Italy’s The Vickers have released their latest single, “She’s Lost”, just in time to put a psychedelic jump-start in your springtime step. The quality of songwriting is evident with the tight rhythm section and driving basslines that fluidly mesh with piles of spacey guitar. As you begin to let the track’s churning repetition hypnotize you, the hazy vocals come through powerfully in the bridge to implore you to, “Tell me all your stories/Tell me how you feel,” and simply remind you — “This is real.” Everything is soaked in just the right amount of reverb to meld the layers together into an irresistible hallucinatory jam. As The Vickers take you along for a psychedelic ride, you can hear the distinctly 60s pop and 90s grunge rock influences that make up the fundamentals of the sound they’ve created. Like an Italian offspring of The Byrds and Tame Impala, The Vickers know how to create music that urges an instant and/or all day replay. Check out the trippy video for “She’s Lost” where you can see some of the band’s stellar ‘staches.
