Jazz Mills – Pop Song SoundCloud

I knew I was hooked on Austin-based indie pop singer Jazz Mills just a few seconds into “Pop Song”. Infectious melodies? Easy sing-a-long lyrics? Echoes of 60′s pop without being contrived? I haven’t been this excited about “woah oh ohs” since first hearing Tennis. Once I started reading more about Jazz, I saw what overwhelming local support she has, whether it’s for her solo project or her vocal work with other bands like Cowboy and Indian, Leopold and His Fiction, Gemini Dreams, The Indie Annas, The Early Girls or The Cry Babies. Fans are begging for her solo EP to come out, and later on this month, our prayers are being answered — Jazz’s debut self-titled EP will be released on November 12th. In the mean time, here’s a stream of “Pop Song”, her wonderfully unassuming, totally catchy single that will help you slide right into the weekend. Enjoy!
