Gluten Free Product Review: Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Granola

By Calvin Eaton @glutenfreechef5

Bob’s Red Mill never ceases to amaze me. They are (in my book at least) the #1 purveyor of gluten free flours, cereals, and snacks. They have hit a home run again with their wonderful Apple Blueberry and Honey Oat granolas. I’ve confessed my love of granola homemade or otherwise and I have been smitten once again by Bob’s. Both granolas are sweet but not too sweet and make the perfect snack or side paired with yogurt and fresh fruit. This stuff is addictive and I had a hard time maintaining self control. Fortunately I was able to make the bags last about a week. The apple blueberry perfectly captures the essence of fresh blueberries. Unfortunately this granola is simple with no clusters or pieces of dried fruit or nuts. I can appreciate the less is more approach to keeping it simply granola allowing you to “doctor” up your mix as you see fit. Bananas, blueberries or other fruits make great additions either fresh or dried. Here’s to another addition of a gluten free “smart” snack to my ever expanding staples list. Thank you Bob!
