Glowwbox Sep - Nov '15: Beauty Haul Edition

By Twynkleloves @TwynkleLoves

Happy Sunday Lovelies, I hope you're weekend is as smooth as my skin is right now, which is pretty smooth, lol. This might sound strange (probably because it is) but I always knew that once I had completed this beauty post, my life was back on track and I had gotten myself together. 2015 was a hectic year for me to say the least and towards the end of it, I became quite overwhelmed with work amongst other things. Although I kept blogging, it was not at the rate I had set myself or in line with my scheduled work projects but far from making this a post on reflection, I'm happy to be reviewing products again.
Glowwbox is a beauty brand that I genuinely believe in and love working with. Apart from the awesome products they provide monthly, they have the most genuine team and founder, who I respect tremendously.
Anyway, back to the point of this post, I'll finally be reviewing all of the products from the Glowwbox September, October and November 2015 beauty boxes and although you can no longer purchase those months boxes, you can, however, still purchase all the featured products individually in the GlowwBox online store here as well as the latest and subsequent Glowwboxes at 50% off with my discount code TLOVES. Enjoy! TL. Xx

GlowwBox September 2015 Catwalk Inspiration Edition

LipGlam Natural Lanolin Lip Balm
If there's one thing I can never neglect, it's my lips. I detest the look and feel of dry lips so I'm conscious to keep them moisterized at all times and what I moisterize them with is just as important as keeping them soft. I love discovering new balms that'll be a real treat for my lips and especially during the cold months of the year when my lips and skin seem to suffer the most. The Lipglam Lanolin lip balm works really well for me and its consistency is not too thick or thin. Even though it lasts long on the lips, I feel that it's effects aren't long lasting as I noticed my lips would be really dry right after it had worn off or been rubbed off.
For me, it works best when used as a light base before applying a matte lipstick.
Lord & Berry Absolute Intensity Lipstick (Deep Nude)
I didn't expect how highly concentrated and intensive the Lord and Berry deep nude lipstick would be and so I definitely underestimated its impact which was quite bright on my skin tone. This works best for me after I've applied my full face makeup because its a bit loud for me when sporting a bare face. I do love the satin finish that it gives though which glides on easily and has a silky, nourishing and long lasting feel.

Revlon Nail Enamel (Knockout)
When it comes to nail colours, I tend to stick with light nude tones because, strangely, I feel that darker shades make my hands and knuckles look darker but I actually liked the Revlon knockout black shade on me. I initially planned to only wear it for an event and ended up rocking it for almost two weeks and I got many compliments on it which reassured my fondness for the dark side (of enamel life).
Wild About Beauty Eyeshadow Pencil Duo (Kim)
I love the color green (this is an understatement) and although I usually wouldn't use the color in an eyeliner, I was generally surprised how much I liked it on me. Strangely it really worked with my more simple 'natural' looks and glided on so easily with the most moisturizing feel. The two ends with varying thickness helped me create the perfect wing for my mood.

STYLondon Temporary Tattoos (Rose Gold Collection 1) & (Rose Gold Collection 2)
I'm pretty sure the popularity of the gold temp tattoos were not lost on the nation being that even the likes of Beyonce were sporting them and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tempted to try them. Then along comes Glowwbox with their telepathic powers and they include the easy to use and non-toxic beautiful temporary tattoos in the beauty box. They made awesome accessories and I loved the various design options. They look very pretty on and last for days, my little King also got in on the action since he "wanted tattoos like Mummy".
GlowwBox October 2015 Autumn Colour Palette Edition
Wild About Beauty Crème Eyeshadow (Buster)
I'm all for anything that'll give me a nude or natural look so this warm autumnal metallic brown eyeshadow was very welcome. I love it's satin finish but as it's quite light and shimmery on application, I wear it on it’s own for a 'nude' look and not with a powdered eyeshadow.
Kiss Cosmetics KISStick (Lady In Red)
KISStick is a KICKass lipstick! No matter how many people disagree with dark skin women wearing red lipstick, I will always love a good red lippie and this KISStick is a great red lippie. Not only does it last for hours (I've been wearing it while I've been working on this post) but it's possibly truly the most moisturizing lipstick I've tried. Although it's a bold red, it suits my skin tone perfectly albeit more so when I have a full face of makeup on as I prefer a deeper red tone for my bareface.
Evolve Skincare Radiant Glow Mask
I do love a good face mask and I'll always give the chance for a glow a go. The radiant glow mask did everything it said on the tin and speaking of, I love how simple and sweet the packaging is.
When I first used the face make, my initial reaction was "now this is what you call an exfoliator!" The micro beads worked wonders on my skin and you can really feel the difference after each use. I love its smell of cocoa when it's on my skin and I wish I could use it daily but it's so effective a weekly session simply does the trick. It leaves my skin with a nice moisturized feeling to it but not greasy and it can leave a brown residue on the skin but I just deal with this by immediately cleansing again afterwards.

Wild About Beauty Nail Colour (Tanwen)
I mentioned previously how much I love the color green and this Wild about beauty shade is a gorgeous Autumn green. It's quick drying, long lasting and suits my skin tone so well.
Benecos Natural Kajal Eyeliner (Brown)
I'll always prefer a dark eyeliner to enhance my eyes but this benecos brown eyeliner works so well for defining my bottom eye line where a black liner can be quite harsh on me. Is it weird that I actually prefer to use this as a lip liner? the shade actually works perfectly for matching my nude and pink lip tones.
Design Essentials Hydrience Argan Moisturizing Creme
When it comes to my hair, I love everything Argan Oil. This moisturizing crème is lightweight and feels nourishing and moisturizing and it doesn't leave a greasy residue on my hair or hands, although it does have a strange watermelon-y scent to it.

GlowwBox November 2015 KeraCare Limited Edition
I've actually been using the Hydrating Detangling Shampoo and
Humecto Crème Conditioner for a while now so these were very welcomed top-ups but of course they work wonders for my hair, de-tangling it with ease and leaving it silky soft and feeling fresh.
After washing and conditioning, I use just a little of the Essential Oils for the Hair on my wet hair before blow drying to lock in moisture and then I add a little Silken Seal and High Sheen Glossifier before the end of the blow dry to give a fabulous natural gloss and feel for styling and I love the fact that they don't feel greasy.
Crème Press
I only ever straighten my hair with straighteners when I go to the salon because I tend to only blow dry my hair straight at home so I'm yet to try the Crème Press but I'll be sure to take it with me on my next visit and update you.
