Glittery Mermaid Nails with Barry M Pink Iridescent

By Katiewilkinson
For a nail-biter like myself, finally getting the chance to paint my nails properly is kind of a big deal.

I've never been that great at doing my nails. I've had the habit of biting my nails for as long as I can remember, and have always been relatively conscious about how they look; and as a result, tried not to draw attention to them by painting them.

This month, however, I discovered a little cheat. If I paint my nails, I get so conscious about them chipping that I don't even put them near my face, never mind bite them down. As a result, they have grown a LOT over the past few weeks as I've gone from colour to colour to colour. And now they look better than they ever have before! Such a confidence boost!

This week I tried out a polish I've had for a while, Barry M's Pink Iridescent glitter polish, using it as a top coat, and teaming it with my current favourite, Ciate Ivory Queen.

I'm a sucker for Barry M nail polish. (even though before now I've never really used them very often). The colours are absolutely stunning, and they have such a wide variety of shades and styles. There's something for every occasion.

I love the look this combination of polishes has created. Subtle enough for work, glittery enough to dress up for a night out, and the colour is pale enough that it doesn't look too 'out-there', if you're a little wary of bright nail colours, like myself.

I'm attending a job interview tomorrow, so I'm actually thinking about keeping the look until then, as it is just so cute, and reflects my personality so well, without being too crazy. A lasting favourite, I think!
