Glasgow’s Dhabba Loves Lamb

By Emma @glasgowfoodie

Glasgow's Dhabba restaurant celebrates its love of lamb with a brand new dish called Yakhni Shorba, available from Monday 16th September and for one week only.

This Kashmiri style broth is cooked with lamb meat, saffron and yogurt and very mildly spiced. Traditionally cooked with goat meat, Dhabba will be using lamb due to autumn lamb meat being ideal for a more adventurous dish than eating just with mint sauce!

Dhabba owner Navdeep Basi said: "Our lamb dishes are very popular at The Dhabba and we only buy young tender meat from our quality Scottish suppliers. Our soup or consommé is based on one of our most popular lamb dishes and is fit for a king. Our chef JD used to prepare this kind of dish for ministerial banquets in India."
