NEW ROUTE TO CAPE VERDE FROM GLASGOW AIRPORT

Thomson and First Choice have announced increased capacity at Glasgow Airport for their winter 2016 flying programme.   There is increased capacity to Gran Canaria as well as the new routes to Cape Verde, so no excuse to find a flight somewhere warm this winter.

Karen Switzer, Director of Aviation Planning for Thomson and First Choice, said: “Adding more choice and flexibility for winter 2016 demonstrates our commitment to Glasgow Airport and the local area. We are pleased to be able to extend our long haul winter offering with the introduction of a new route to Sal, Cape Verde, allowing our customers to experience new destinations and hotels.”

“Expanding access to our portfolio of destinations and hotels is a key part of our overall strategy and will enhance the holiday experience for our customers.”

Paul White, business development manager at Glasgow Airport said: “Cape Verde is a fantastic winter sun destination and we are confident that today’s announcement of a new service for winter 2016 will generate a great deal of interest amongst our customers.

“Both Cape Verde and the Canary Islands offer holiday makers a wide range of activities to choose from.  Whether they are interested in golf, shopping, hiking, surfing or simply enjoying the sunshine there really is something for everyone.   We look forward to working in partnership with Thomson and First Choice to continue their growth at Glasgow Airport.”

Excellent news for Glasgow, always good to explore new places.
