Welcome DinnerThe welcome dinner was for close family and friends but the bride still wanted to look stylish. The brides dress was designed by Shantanu and Nikhil. The groom wore grey pants and a black shirt from Arjun Khanna and a maroon waistcoat by Sabyasachi.
Greek theme Ring ceremony/Masquerade ballThis was the first big function for this wedding weekend and all the guests had arrived and would be seeing the couple for the first time. The theme was Greek and the dress code 'Coats and Gowns', since the ring ceremony was to be followed by a Masquerade Ball, the bride and groom picked creations appropriate for both functions. The bride wore royal blue flounced and layered chiffon gown from Mumbai-based designer Pia Gehani. To complement the gown the bride chose a classic diamond set from Popley Eternal and a thick diamond bracelet designed by Varuna D Jani. The groom wore black jodhpuri pants with a band gala jacket from Etro in Mumbai. This was by far one of the most beautiful gown's I have seen!
Indo-Western for Pool PartyThis was when the Bride decided to get her mehendi done to her hands and feet, while everyone just relaxed casually by the pool. She chose a white georgette and silk knee length dress with pure gotta and pink pleated detailing, this too was designed by Pia Gehani.
Jodha Akbar theme for SangeetThe theme for the night was Jodha Akbar and the dress code was Sherwanis and Anarkalis. The bride wore a full-sleeves green anarkali with a green lehenga and a blue dupatta which was designed by Babita Malkani. The groom wore a cream and gold sherwani from Neeta Lulla (this was similar to what Hirthik Roshan wore in Jodha Akbar) which had a touch of green to complement the bride's outfit. To match the theme the bride wore ethnic gold jewelry with coral and emeralds designed by Sabyasachi.
Traditional WeddingThe bride and groom wanted a very traditional look and chose to get both outfits made by Ahmedabad-based Shyamal and Bhumika. The bride's outfit is an extension of the designers 2010-11 bridal collection and was specially designed keeping in mind the Wedding’s theme and colors. The groom's ensemble was also a part of the same collection and he wore an emerald green velvet sherwani style jacket with a crepe silk gold dhoti.
The bride's gold set with jadhau pieces are made from Popley Eternal and she also wore traditional maroon punjabi chuda's (wedding bangles).
The bride chose a glamorous Indo-western lehenga by Shantanu and Nikhil for the reception since she wanted something unique. The top was a silver corset with a fuchsia pink flower on the shoulder and crystal chains hanging from it. The lehenga was fuchsia pink with silver work and touches of grey at the bottom. The groom picked a classic black tux from Armani. The bride's diamond set was from Varuna D Jani.
