You may have noticed the “Girl Talk” at the beginning of the blog post. I thought it only fair to have this WARNING out there for those who may not want to hear about “Girl Talk” or read about it. So all future “girly” type blog posts with reference “Girl Talk“ and hope readers will heed the warning.
Now on to some “Girl Talk“.
I know we touched previously on some menstrual issues as well as some premenopausal issues so, after recent events, I wanted to talk about it a little more.
As I’ve been hearing from some of you who are premenopausal or already in menopause, some of you really had no symptoms or at least symptoms that weren’t so horrible.
Then there are the rest of us who are on that crazy roller coaster ride from Hell! The one who gives us the extreme hot flashes, the sudden menstrual cycles that are HEAVY and last several days, insomnia or restless sleep cycles, migraines, crampy, and many more symptoms.
After my last cycle, as I talked about previously All Aboard The Hor-Mone Roller Coaster!, I contacted my “lady doc”. I am 44 years old going on 45 in August. I am consider “too young” for menopause according to what I’ve researched as well as what my “lady doc” and friends have shared with me. I also know that my last cycle, which was crazy as hell, is nothing something I want to deal with for the next 5 years!
WHEN IS ENOUGH, ENOUGH?!
Well, all it took was ONE time and me being out sick from work because I was “throne” ridden and I decided …..
I’M JUST NOT GOING TO DEAL WITH THIS YET!

So my good ole “lady doc” gave me two options.
One was a surgery that could last for several years, a month, a week, a year, etc.
Yeah, I’m not into surgeries nor hospitals.
The next option was to go on a “low dose” birth control pill. Not because I need birth control but because it would regulate my cycle, lessen the flow, and give me my life back.
Yes, I opted for this option.
Mind you, she recovered all the side effects of birth control in a 44-year-old woman and for things to watch out for. I weighed those again the HELL I went through a mere 3 weeks ago and still decided “YES”. I actually even discussed it with my hubs who, bless his heart, brought me a glass of water when I was “throne ridden” over the weekend.
This option, in my opinion, was the best for me.
I have some friends who are having a horrendous time as well. A couple my age and a friend several years older, however, these friends are all experience the UNGODLY wrath of premenopause and as we speak, a few are taken actions to help them through this mess.
WHEN IS ENOUGH, ENOUGH?!
When do you throw your hands up in the air and tell Aunt Flo to stick it up her caboose?
When premenopause starts interfering with your job, your family life, and your well-being, will you take action? Or will you go through the horrid stages and have a breakdown ever couple months?
What are your thoughts?
If you are one of those who are having a horrible time or had, what steps are you willing to take to keep your sanity?
Edit: Interesting enough, as soon as I scheduled this post, this DON’T PAUSE Natural Menopause showed up on Google+.
