One thing that Gilmore Girls did was have fights that everyday families would have. Day four of the Gilmore Girls: A year In The Life countdown we are going through our top 5 favorite fights. Some of them changed how people looked at each other some of them were just silly and made us laugh. Make sure to tell us if we missed any of your fights below or tweet us @FrontRowChat!
Sairah- Friday Night’s Alright for Fighting (S6E13) I love this fight because it is the fight to end all fights. Every argument that Lorelai, Rory, Emily, and Richard had been holding in came out this Friday night dinner. They seemed closer after everything had been laid out on the table and hashed out.
Cassie- Apparently ProtectiveDad!Luke really does things to me. Because I love seeing him get fiercely protective over the kids he loves. It seems to come out most in his feelings for Rory and Jess, and this scene it’s for both! This episode on the whole is one of my favorites, both for the Lorelai/Luke and Rory/Jess. Brb… time for a rewatch! (S2E19)
Aubrey- Sweater Fight (S1E3)
Lorelai: I’m talking about that you take my sweaters and you wear them and you stretch them out.
Rory: I couldn’t possibly stretch them out! Your boobs are way bigger than mine.
Lorelai: That is not true.
Rory: Yes it is.
Lorelai: Your boobs are totally bigger than mine!
Rory: You’re crazy!
Lorelai: Do you want to measure?
Rory: What?
Lorelai: I’m serious. Why don’t you get the measuring tape right now?
Rory: I am not going to measure my boobs.
Lorelai: Because you know that you are totally bigger.
Rory: I’m going inside.
Lorelai: Fine, don’t measure. We’ll just compare bras.
Hannah- The fight between Luke and Jess (S3E5) – It ends with Luke pushing Jess into the lake, how can it get better than that? The Luke and Jess dynamic, especially in the early episodes, was pretty volatile and I loved watching it develop. I can’t wait to see what it looks like in the reunion. But this fight I think really started that develop and bringing trust into their relationship. They definitely had their issues then, but they got through them, because that’s what you do for family.
