We all have our favorite moments that we look back on with fondness. But here at Front Row Chat, we thought it wouldn’t be a truly well-rounded countdown without a few moments that were less than stellar. So before we get to more goodness with Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, find our top five cringeworthy moments below. Cassie- Luke has a daughter (S6E9)
Aubrey-
When Lorelai thinks her parents finally have her back, and then take in Rory/support her quitting school instead. (S5E22) I, along with Lorelai, was so very hopeful that they could come together in this. I cringed, I cried, and I never looked at the Gilmores or Rory the same again.
Hannah- Rory loses her virginity to a married Dean. (S4E23)
Lisa- Emily starting to date again (S5E9)
Sairah- Lorelai sleeping with Christopher before her and Luke broke up (S6E22 and S7E1)
Lorelai did this to “blow up” the relationship with Luke because she wanted to stop hurting. She started to blame herself for the reason why Luke was delaying the wedding. She made up excuses for him and she went as far as changing pieces of herself to accommodate him. She was losing herself, losing her voice, losing the thing that made her Lorelai. So she did this unforgivable act because she knew that Luke could never recover from it. That one act that would sever the ties between herself and Luke, making her unable to feel this kind of pain again. That broke my heart.
