Story: Ghost Game starts when Vin (Haider) discovers his girlfriend Laura (Dorsey) takes part in a viral prank. She breaks into homes to see how long they can live in the home before getting caught. It leaves Vin questioning why she takes part, but wanting to get to know her more, he asks to join her on the next one.

The pair head to the next location, a notorious haunted house. Meanwhile, a new family Pete (Williams), Meg (Bennett) and Samantha (Maas) moves in. The game has begun for Laura and Vin, but the home is holding other secrets that could cause problems.

Verdict on Ghost Game

Ghost Game is a horror thriller following a new couple who agree to play an internet prank game. It involves them living in someone else’s home until they get caught, playing pranks on the residents. However, they pick a haunted house with a new family and find more than they bargained for.

This movie takes the idea of a dumb internet prank and turns it into an interesting horror. I will point out that I don’t think the story idea of the dumb game is bad, just the idea of the game being dumb, like most viral concepts. This shows how they can spiral out of control with horrific consequences. It has plenty of mystery, as you are not completely sure what is happening, with the additional haunted house mixed with the home-invading angles. This leaves you shocked, and surprised and does a great job at creating an unease about what the pranksters are doing.

Final Thoughts Ghost Game is a surprising, uneasy and chilling experience.
