Getting Back on The Bike

Take a look at the things that are making me want to get back on my bike this spring. So I already have the basics, a bike (always helpful), a helmet and even a head torch which I admit myself was a rather ambitious purchase but I’ve spotted a few new pieces of kit that my collection is lacking. 1) First up is a new water bottle. I’m one of the those people who can’t do any type of fitness activity without some form of water supply. Now I currently own about 1365 different types of water bottle but they all either leak or are extremely impractical (Vivienne Westwood bottle I’m looking at you). I need this transparent Nike one in my life. 2) Next up on my cycling wish list is a bike gadget from My Fitness Arena that retains all of the data from your bike rides. Now, I love a gadget and I’m guilty of buying quite a few when I went through my running phase but I don’t own one specifically for cycling. This watch does all kinds of wonderful things from monitoring your heart rate to counting the numbers of calories burned on your ride. It helps you to stay in that all important fat burning zone and offers training guidance too. (*whispers* and it’s pink). 3) If you are blessed in the breast department, you will know how indispensable a sports bra is when cycling. Sweaty Betty is my brand of choice for sports bras. They just work. 4) My entire workout wardrobe is made up of various black leggings and these Sweaty Betty ones have been on my wish list for a while. Simple yet effective, they are perfect for cycling all-year-round. 5) When I’m working out I tend to wear all black and use bright accessories to add a bit of color. Socks are something I always forget to replace and so if I plan to get back on my bike, new socks are at the top of my list. These neon Victoria Secret ones are pretty yet practical. 6) I don’t need an excuse to buy more Nike trainers but these black ones have my name all over them. I currently own a black pair with a gray tick but these ones were shouting out at me as I was browsing online. I’m sure my Instagram has been sending me messages subliminally also as all I ever see is people showing off their new Nikes. Will you be joining me this spring and getting back on your bike?
