The thing about St. Patrick's Day in Dallas is that you can be celebrating in shorts and a T-shirt, or gloves and a parka. Every year, it's a crapshoot with the weather. According to the weather app (as of today) we can expect partly cloudy skies and a high of 61 degrees! Hey! This is a sure sign that Greenville Ave. will be loaded with lads and lasses ready to chug gallons of green beer and looking to get lucky. If you have moved past this phase of your life and are married with kids - don't worry, there's plenty of fun for you too. Below are options to enjoy this fun and festive holiday. "Here's to a long life and a merry one. A quick death and an easy one. A pretty girl and an honest one. A cold drink-- and another one!" Sláinte!

Find your spot along Greenville Avenue and watch more than 90 parade floats for the 40th annual Dallas St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival on Saturday, March 16. Make sure to wear something green! 

The parade route starts on Greenville Boulevard at Blackwell Street, with street closures scheduled to start at 9:00am for north and southbound lanes of Greenville Ave, and ends at SMU Boulevard at Central Expressway. Alternative routes around the parade-impacted area include Loop 12, Mockingbird Lane and Park Lane with access to Skillman. Parade-goers are encouraged to ride share or ride DART Rail, as parking is extremely limited. Parade route recommended DART Rail stations include Mockingbird Station, Lovers Lane Station and Park Lane Stations. 

Featured event spaces are open from 9 am to 3 pm: 

  • The Exhibitor Zone will be situated at 5111 Greenville Ave. (Office Depot/CVS) and will feature food trucks, exhibitor booths, sponsor exhibits, family friendly activities and VIP Tailgate Area
  • Brew Fest will be located in the Office Depot parking lot; the presenting sponsor, Deep Ellum Brewing Company, will be pouring select products on tap; entrance to Brew Fest is free and will also feature food trucks, exhibitors and a DJ Station
  • Parade Sponsor Comerica Bank, located at Lovers Lane and Greenville, will host the 3nd annual Comerica Bank Family Zone equipped with bleacher seating and events for the entire family. 
  • Additional Exhibitor Zones at 5521 Greenville Ave will highlight the Fellowship zone (Sponsored by Lakewood Fellowship Church) and the first BuzzBallz Party with a private VIP Tailgate area; 
  • CW33 (KDAF) Parade Live Broadcast from 11:00am-1:00pm, from Old Town Shopping Center

The Royal Dukes Band will perform a family show at The Dallas Arboretum on March 17


Enjoy a family celebration this Saint Patrick's Day at the Dallas Arboretum on Sunday, March 17, 2-4 p.m. on the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage and Lawn. Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with green beer from Café on the Green. Wear green and enjoy picnicking and live music with The Royal Dukes Band. Cool River in Las Colinas is hosting a traditional Irish dinner of corned beef and cabbage for $9.95, Clontarf Irish Whiskey pours and Guinness pints for $5 on Sunday, March 17.
Dog Haus, the gourmet hot dog, sausage, burger and beer concept, is offering a variety of food and drink specials that will make March the month to feast. On St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, participating locations are offering Loaded Tots (Reuben Tots, Southwestern Tots, and BLT Tots), Green Beer. and at Biergarten locations only, Jameson Shots and Pickle Backs.
El Chico is offering $1.99 pitchers of green beer and $2.99 house margaritas on Sunday, March 17.

Upside West Village will be open during normal business hours on Saturday, March 16 but starting at 10:00 p.m., the rooftop lounge will feature themed drink specials, including a Green Irish Whiskey cocktail, and live music throughout the night. Check out the official Dallas St. Patrick’s Day Parade 40th anniversary post-parade concert. The concert will be a celebration and tribute to the 40 years of the Dallas St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Four live bands (Poo Live Crew, Just Like P!nk, M80s and more) covering 40 years of music featuring hits from Guns N Roses, Britany Spears, P!nk, Nirvana, Muse, Prince, The Beastie Boys, Queen, and many more!
The concert starts immediately after the parade and is located at the cross sections of Greenville and Mockingbird, south of the Matilda bridge, on Saturday, March 16th. Click HERE to purchase tickets.

Pat Green at The Rustic in Houston

Country music star Pat Green is coming to The Rustic to help celebrate St. Pat’s Day with a rousing performance at the restaurant, bar and venue he helped put on the map. On Sunday, March 17, guests can don their green for the pre-party in the party patio in the front yard of The Rustic beginning at 5 p.m. with a special performance by John Gurney. Concert-goers will shake their shamrocks over to the performance area at 7 p.m. as the three-time Grammy nominee takes the stage for an unforgettable holiday performance.
