Hey, did you know Lenovo has its own line of true wireless earbuds? Neither do I. But here they are and, man, are they cheap. At a regular price of a modest $ 60, that's what you get Lenovo LivePods LP1 for just $ 17 at Walmart now. That's a 70% discount.
The earbuds look pretty ordinary and are modeled on the standard lightbulb and stem design that made Apple famous. They are waterproof with an IPX4 rating and are based on the control of touch gestures. To be clear, I've never worn or heard these earbuds, and neither has CNET-based audio guru David Carnoy tried them. However, Lenovo claims they have 10mm drivers and a frequency response of 20 to 20,000 Hz. The 40 mAh batteries are complemented by a 300 mAh battery in the wired (USB-C) charging case.
I guess I've never heard of them because they are likely for sale in China. The voice command feature only works in Chinese, and I think that's a great clue. But if you don't mind, these are an incredibly cheap pair of earbuds from a major brand. Let me know what you think in the comments.
