Manimahesh Lake is situated at 27Kms from Bharmour at the foot of Manimahesh Kailash. Lord Shiva is believed to reside on this snow-covered mountain. The lake and peak are worshiped as sacred and a fair named as Manimahesh ďżźfair (Manimahesh Yatra) is held at the lake each and every year in the month of August and September, the Yatra starts from Janamastmi to Radhastami each and every year.Travel groups arrange amazing value for money trips from Delhi every month.

Providing a rare occasion to study the customs and rituals of the local people and the glorious view of Manimahesh Kailash touches the hearts of visitor in morning and at the time of sun rising. Regarding Manimahesh Kailash it is said that no one has ever been able to climb to the peak. Local legends clarifying that people point out rock projections, human-like in appearance, and say that one is of a hermit, the other of a shepherd, frozen stiff during their futile effort to reach the top. Many holy places come in the way to Manimahesh, at the distance of 6 km from Hadsar, a Dhancho famous for water fall and after 5kms from Dhancho Gaurikund come. Gauri is another name of Parvati, the consort of Lord Shiva. A dip in this lake is considered sacred because it is believed that Parvati used to bath in this lake. About one kilometer ahead is the Shiva Kalotri spring-said to have its source in Lord Shiva’s feet. After a short run, reaches the Manimahesh lake in this shallow circular lake gives it an enchanting appearance. A roofless temple, conspicuous with many iron trinkets, is seen on the opposite side. As per legends it is necessary to take bath in Brahmani’s pool before Manimahesh Lake. Manimahesh Kalah trek is another one starts from Holi valley via Kalah. The trek is tough and adventures for visitors but suitable to trekkers. This trek meets at Manimahesh Lake from west side.

Kailash Manimahesh on 7th september – 13th september 2017
Day 1 :- Departure from Delhi @ 22:15 via Train Pooja SF Express to Pathankot.
Day 2 : – Reach Pathankot by 6:35am (according to train timings).
After reaching Pathankot will leave for Bharmour via Taxi.
After reaching Bharmour firstly go to Bharmani Mata Temple in the same Taxi(as local says its very important to have darshan of bharmani mata before u leave for Manimahesh trek) After darshan Back to Bharmour and overnight stay in Guest House.
Day 3:- Hadsar – Dhancho (07 Kms Trek) After taking Breakfast and packed Lunch proceed for Hadsar (20kms By Taxi). The Trek starts from Hadsar It’s a 7 kms Trek through beautiful meadows following the stream. Stay at Dhancho in the tents.
Day 4:- Dhancho – Kailash Manimahesh (07 Kms Trek ) Early in the morning Trek to Kailash Manimahesh (7kms Trek) after Breakfast.
It is a steep Trek till Gauri Kund. It Will take a halt at Gauri Kund. Kailash Manimahesh is visible from Gauri Kund and is only a kilometer away from Gauri Kund.
After reaching Manimahesh will proceed for Kamal Kund.
Overnight stay at Manimahesh Lake in the camps.
Day 5:- Kailash Manimahesh – Gauri Kund – Hadsar (14 km’s) After sunrise and having breakfast will move for Hadsar. Its a downhill Trek. Right after reaching Hadsar board a taxi for Bharmour. Overnight stay at Bharmour and visit Chaurasi Mandir ( 84 Temples ).
Day 6:- Bharmour to Pathankot By Taxi After having breakfast checkout from the guest house by 11:00 am. Board the Train Pooja Express at 20:00 pm till Delhi at 5:00 am.
Cost :- 13000/- per person.
Inclusions:- Breakfast , Lunch and Dinner from Bharmour to Bharmour. Train tickets sleeper class from Delhi to Pathankot too and fro. Accommodation in Guest house and Tents Triple/Quad sharing. Trekking fees, Guides, Certified Mountaineer Instructor. Camping fees and taxes. Taxi from Pathankot to Bharmour and back.
Note:- Please submit Rupees 1000/- as an advance to book the train tickets. Pay half of the amount by 20th August and Rest of the amount by 30th August.
