I was suprised to also learn that Fotolia is a worldwide social marketplace which allows individuals and professionals to legally buy and share stock images and illustrations.  The image bank increases ten fold everyday since artists, photographers and designers are constantly adding new images to the site every day.
In playing around and downloading some great images I was extremely happy with the clarity, size and colors.   Being able to look for a certain image; for example:  Feathers and Hibiscus Flowers; there were hundreds of  vector art, photographs, line art, graphics, videos and photos to choose from.  What a time saver.  Plus I found images I would not have thought to look for.  You can look for photos based on emotions, themes, colors and even time periods.  Very cool indeed.
