Our family has always loved playing games. When my parents visit, you can be sure that we’ll be breaking out the cards or a board game and spending several hours in friendly competition. One of my adult sons also belongs to a game group that gets together weekly to play a huge assortment of board games. So, I was excited to be invited to review a family-friendly game called “Toasted or Roasted.” My grown son, 11-year-old twins and I played together, and it was equally fun for all of us.
The objective of “Toasted or Roasted” is to keep your campfire lit and toast three marshmallows before anyone else in the game. The best part is that you’re not only progressing your own game, but you’re also placing cards on other players that put out their campfires with wind or rain or burn up their marshmallows. “Toasted or Roasted” is easy to learn, fast-paced, and just the right length to keep everyone interested in the game. We also kept chuckling at the adorable expressions on the marshmallows drawn on each card.
“Toasted or Roasted” is available at www.educationoutdoors.net where founder Tim Paczesney creates games that teach families about the outdoors. “Toasted or Roasted” is a great game to play at home, but it also comes in a highly portable bag so you can add it to your camping and vacation entertainment, too. I hope you’ll pick up a “Toasted or Roasted” for your family for just $14!
